Hello, my name is Brigid Aitken. I've had a career in the National Heath Service and an interest in health and well-being for many years. Now it's time for a change in direction, and I want to share my interests and knowledge by way of my plans for Gollachy Ice House.
Gollachy Ice House ~ an Exciting Future
At time of writing, in the autumn of 2019, we are a 'work in progress'. But I'm looking forward to the future when I can run a full range of wellness classes, as well as welcoming you all to the Ice House Cafe. And, of course, listening to your suggestions as to how we might use the space in the venue that has been created.
Pilates & Yoga @ Gollachy
I plan to develop a centre next to the ice house for a variety of wellness activities such as yoga and pilates, dance, meditation, and a range of somatic therapies surrounded by local creative exhibitions.
I am a Pilates, NIA and Power Plate certified Instructor, Yoga teacher in training & practitioner, developing NLP Life Coach. I have been teaching for over 10 years
My love of Pilates developed into instructing after years of using Pilates as a tool to enable me to cope with a busy work / home schedule. I continue to work with myself and my clients to maintain a strong and flexible body and an open mind
I use the APPI (Australian Physiotherapist Pilates Institute) method - this is a method specifically practiced by Physiotherapists and is a rehabilitation and prevention orientated Pilates method.
